About Serenity
Opening in 2023, Serenity Funerals was the culmination of over 20 years in the funeral industry for Alistair Leary, the proprietor.

In 2024, the team moved into their new premises, which was a celebration of the amazing growth and support the business has received since it started.
After losing his dad at a young age, Alistair has always wanted to help and care for people and started by working within the care industry for many years. However, back in December 1996, he suffered the loss of his twin sons at 2 days old, the funeral process along with the bereavement help and support he received Alistair decided to apply to work within the Funeral Services as he wanted to help, support and guide people through their time of loss similar to the guidance he had received.
With over 20 years' experience Alistair has gained expertise, compassion, empathy, and a true understanding of losing a loved one, both personally and professionally. Working within this industry has felt like a vocation, and we now feel its time to serve our community with a promise of Care, Compassion, and Empathy.
Our Story
William Hince – Funeral Director.
Will has worked within the care & nursing profession since the age of 18, both in the acute and in the palliative care sectors. Will joined Alistair in the funeral profession in 2023 as he particularly enjoyed caring for the deceased and their families in his previous palliative care role.
Very dedicated to his job, Will dedicates his time in caring and supporting bereaved families at their time of need and has a passion of treating each and every family like one of his own.
Alistair Leary – Proprietor & Funeral Director.
Alistair has over twenty years of experience as a Funeral Director; working for both independent and corporate firms. Having experienced significant personal bereavement, Alistair has gained expertise, compassion, empathy, and a true understanding of losing a loved one, both personally and professionally.
Working within this sector has felt like a vocation and has a true passion to serve our community with a promise of care, compassion, and empathy.
Meet The Team
We are pleased to have opened our funeral home in the city centre of Hereford, with our front entrance along Blueschool Street.
We are proud to have everything under one roof, including a comfortable family room, private chapel of rest, disabled access and WC facilities, within our modern funeral home.
Serenity was officially opened on 6th August 2024 by the Mayor of Hereford, Cllr Kevin Tillett
